Adventure activities RISHIKESH
It is known as the birthplace of yoga, the phenomenon that has captured
the imagination of people around the world. Rishikesh is the center for yoga
and meditation with number of national and international aashrams and institutes.
Rishikesh is often referred to as the yoga capital of the world due to its global
popularity among seekers of peace and contemplation. Meditation and an immersion
in the holy waters of the Ganges in Rishikesh are believed to bring one closer to
salvation. Trekking Rishikesh has many beautiful places to explore. As it is located
in the foothills of the Himalayas, it has excellent access to treks that you will
never forget. They can be quite exciting with challenges, but always a form of
stunning beauty that is well worth it. The trekking trails of Rishikesh lead you to
lush greenery, incredible valleys that seem endless and refreshing waterfalls
where you can take a break. There's usually a little hut along the way too, which
is a cool part of the whole experience.
Cool stuff happens on the trails here too. They can be quite busy when pilgrims
flock to the temples around Rishikesh. Of course, keep in mind that you are on a
sacred journey. There are other peaceful hiking trails that are best visited between
October and March if you want to take part. Some can go and hike through the
snow even in the late winter season.
