Mooresville, NC – Detroit Speed walked away with their heads held high after another highly successful SEMA show and showing at the Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational. The crew at Detroit Speed were thrilled to compete in the Toyota Dream Build Challenge again this year with Kyle Busch Motorsports, KBM, Parker Kligerman and all of the CamRally sponsors. The winner was announced on Tuesday, Nov. 5th at the Toyota booth. Although the CamRally did not win the Toyota Dream Build Challenge, the buzz that is created at SEMA and on the web more than made up for not bringing the trophy back to Mooresville for a second year. The pinnacle was being named a "Top Ten Car of SEMA" by Edmunds.com. Congratulations to the Joe Gibbs team and N-Fab team, their Let’s Go Moto Tundra for coming away with the victory. Aside from all the attention the CamRally was getting the Detroit Speed booth was not short on excitement. Constant booth traffic was a regularity as the team were busy showing off parts and answering questions all show long. Detroit Speed was thrilled to win a Global Media Award for the 1963-1967 Corvette Electric Headlight Kit. The Detroit Speed brand was not limited to just the CamRally and booth. The Detroit Speed logo was seen on many cars from 2012 OUSCI Winner, Mark Stielow's 1967 Mayhem Camaro, to various other Pro-Touring cars eager to compete in the OUSCI on Saturday in Pahrump. Speaking of the OUSCI, Detroit Speed had Kyle Tucker competing in the contest in the new DSE "White Monster" 2012 Camaro Test Car and Stacy Tucker in the iconic DSE 1969 Camaro Test Car. This competition brings out some of the best drivers and street cars in the world for a fierce battle on the autocross, speed stop, road course and more. Kyle managed to take 2nd place in the Hot Lap Challenge and tie for 7th overall. Brian Hobaugh ended up taking the win by capturing first in the autocross and speed stop giving him enough points to finish above last year's champion Mark Stielow in his DSE "Equipped" 1967 Mayhem Camaro.
