its always so sad to me when the night before a holiday isn't exciting because it just proves im not little anymore and the ~magic~ is gone. like for me even the night before easter was once a big deal because my parents do the whole hiding baskets with a little gift and some candy and it was kind of the same thing as christmas with like "the easter bunny is coming get to bed!!" idk thats such a nice feeling its just sad when its gone
