Going back over 60 years today with this design inspired by the RCAF Golden Hawks aerobatic demonstration team 🤙😎. . The Golden Hawks were a Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) aerobatic flying team established in 1959 to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the RCAF and the "Golden" 50th anniversary of Canadian flight, which began with the AEA Silver Dart in 1909. Initially, a six-plane team was envisioned as performing for only one year with the Canadair Sabre 5 however due to their popularity the team continued to perform until 1964. . The legacy of the Golden Hawks lives on with the Canadian Forces Snowbirds and the Hawk One demonstration team established at Vintage Wings of Canada in 2009 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of powered flight in Canada. . This design is based on Golden Hawk serial number 23164 which currently resides at Germain Park in Sarnia, Ontario. @skiesmag 🤙😎 . . www.iloveahangar.com . 🛫FREE SHIPPING! 📦 🌎 . 🛩CUSTOM REQUESTS AVAILABLE ⚒ . #avgeek #instaaviation #rcaf #goldenhawks #canadairsabre #f86 #f86sabre #thunderbirds #blueangels #airshow #aerobaticdisplayteam #abbyairshow #abbotsfordinternationalairshow #airshows #airshowstuff https://www.instagram.com/p/B_Z_pZHBwqI/?igshid=9a80dq2bueo6
