I had a major need to find out about female gladiators today and after reblogging what I could find on Tumblr I randomly remembered your blog and how much I loved your history posts! I need to reconnect with amazing tumblr blogs like yours <3

 Thank you so much, peach! I’ve not been able to make any history posts as of late, but I hope to get back on the saddle soon and write about whatever bizarre things tickle my fancy at the moment.

 I hope you were able to find some good, credible posts on female gladiators! I’ll admit I’m not really a gladiator expert. I mostly just know they were highly prized and they sold the sweat of famous gladiators as perfume. I’ve also been to the Colosseum and it was pretty fucking impressive.

Oh god.

N'Sync.  2000.  Cousin's 13th birthday.

I got dragged along by my mother, and commented that the stadium full of people waving glow sticks looked like the villi of the small intestine.  She commented that I was the weirdest 12-year-old that'd ever walked the face of the earth.

Of course, none of this precluded my LOVING the show, despite not being the biggest N'Sync fan.

(First REAL concert?  That I actually wanted to go to?  Mark Knopfler, 2005, 18th birthday at the Greek Theatre.  GREAT show.  He's a mind-blowing guitar player.)
