Alright, about LAW.

I honestly haven’t planned out too much about him yet in this AU, but here’s a lil bit of stuff I’ve got so far!

-He saves both Luffy and Ace’s lives after Marineford

-After the time skip, for certain reasons, Luffy becomes the sole “official” captain of the ASL pirates, no longer co-captains with Ace. This means that when Law wants to form an alliance, or make other big decisions, he pointedly ignores Ace and Sabo, and is a bit annoyed when Luffy insists that her brothers be with her too. Law accuses them of being over-protective chaperones, while Luffy claims that even though they’re not technically captains, they also sorta are, and she wants them here. Law also calls Luffy “MY alliance partner,” which makes everyone on the crew a lil bit prickly, and Law knows it, intentionally wondering how many buttons he can push before someone snaps.

(Law’s expecting some antagonism, they’re pirates after all and he doesn’t want to be friends. But no one on the crew actually does snap, not even the brothers who frequently look livid at Law’s none-too-subtle taunting. They’re all used to rivalry for Luffy after all...except Law. The lack of anyone actually going after him in turn starts making Law nervous. Why do they all still want to be friends, despite Law intentionally being touchy-feely around Luffy to provoke them? He’s not actually interested in the weird stretchy mermaid, he just wants to get a rise out of her crew, but they’re not taking the bait? What is it about her that....huh....hm....no, he’s not getting invested or anything, but....*nervous sweating as it starts to feel a lot less like Just Provocation*)

(Luffy, of course, notices nothing about Law’s volatile emotions. They’re Buddies after all! Torao’s just sorta weird sometimes!)

-He’s one of those who are very, VERY curious about Luffy’s tail, though he tries poorly to hide it. From a medical standpoint, of course. Once Luffy’s like, “Y’know Torao, if u wanna touch it u can?” he legit can’t stop putting his hand on it and stroking her scales, so lightly and carefully it tickles and makes Luffy burst out laughing, loud enough to be heard across the entire Sunny. It’s because Law’s interested in mermaid biology of course, which he’s never had the chance to study so up close and personally before, his interest is definitely purely professional. He doesn’t have any ulterior motives, he swears. Big brothers, please stop staring, your shoulders are on fire...
