I know you don't believe in the passive/active (and personally, I'm all for that, it saves a lot of trouble.) dichotomy but how do you feel about classes and aspects being sorted in pairs? Do you think each class/aspect compliments another one, like narrative foils or opposing themes/archetypes?

Nnnno not really. Like, if you do and see connections like that, that's neat, but my modus operandus for this was to just zero in on each class/aspect on its own and try very hard not to let others influence. I was trying to build by addition and subtraction of evidence, not drawing comparisons and contrasts, if that makes sense?

(Omg how come I forgot to turn off anon??) Love this blog, by the way! I've actually asked a handful of questions because I love your interpretation of Melly so far and also I'm insane about her. (BUT YOU'LL NEVER KNOW WHICH ASKS WERE MINE!) Also her response to being asked about The Incident is 100% accurate, Melly insofar just pretends nothing happened or goes "Does it matter whether I did it or not. I study bugs." and I love her for that.

As for The Incident, if you could get an answer about her personal life out of her that easily then “reticent” wouldn’t be one of her traits ;)
