Pardon, if I might ask a lore question (I dunno much about crash) is it true that the masks are made out of actual dead people? If so, is there any real information on what they were like before they were made into masks?

From what I learned from the fandom, and from the bits of the games I've seen/played, Aku Aku (the good mask that follows Crash around), and Uka Uka (the evil mask that follows Cortex) weren't made out of people, but they used to be people that turned into masks through magic.

I don't think any of the games explain how or why this happened, but Crash of the Titans and Mind Over Mutant show a little bit of their backstory.

Aku Aku and Uka Uka used to be witch doctors/shamen, they got their magic from some tree, and at some point they either died, or reached a certain level of magic and became masks.

These games are really good at mentioning things but never explaining them, so unfortunately that's all I can tell you. I hoped that helped a little bit, if not I'm sorry.

I'm sure there are lots of Crash fans that have really nice headcanons of how Aku Aku and Uka Uka became masks though.

I will not forgive the Duffer Brothers for robbing us of the opportunity for Argyle and Eddie to be friends.

Eddie kinda awkwardly like "Hey, uh, I guess you helped us defeat Vecna so like.... thanks, man."

"No problemo, my good dude. And may I add that I am digging your sweet counter-culture attire!"

Eddie, who is not used to receiving compliments or generally positive reactions to his presence at all just "Uh??? Thanks??"

Argyle finds out that Eddie sells weed and looks so starry-eyed at him, like he just met a celebrity. "Wait, you're the weed man????"

"Uh, yeah? In Hawkins, at least."

Argyle removing his hat and saluting like Eddie is some war hero. Grabbing onto his shoulder like "Thank you for your service to our country, man."

Poor Eddie is just SO confused at this point but is like "Hey whatever."

They toke up together and learn that they both love The Cramps and pineapple on pizza.

Argyle is so sweet and completely non-judgemental and friendly that Eddie probably cries a little cuz holy shit is this what its like to feel normal and not like a freak? After that, he would absolutely die for his new california friend.

Dark and "scary" pessimist Eddie vs. Bright happy optimist Argyle is such a fucking good dynamic and you're all sleeping on it
