Sooo, is it possible to kin you and one of your canonmates at the same time? Because I got memories for these two different kins that line up accordingly to the canon-

Everytime I read a fic where draco is turning over a big new leaf and is decided he is going to do all business with the muggle world I always think what about the statute of secrecy... I know its fanfiction and can be au but this is one of those really weird things that pulls me out of a story similiar to draco driving a car or their going to primary school. I just get so caught up in the logistics of it in my head for some reason.

I think the annoying thing is I don't really understand the full limitations of the statute and it means whenever the purebloods get too integrated with muggle life I just get a bit 'hmmm'

One of the bad things about the book is that some concepts and ideas aren't properly explained. So now as adults you read something and your like wait what? How does that work?

Even if it's the smallest thing, it throws you off!

There are so many concepts to me that have me scratching my head and I wonder if JKR ever gave this any thought. Like love potions, I understand that for a kid it seems like a funny thing, like Fred and George selling them in their shop was a gag and I'm sure it was indeed a harmless product, but can you imagine something like that in read life??? I mean a potion to make someone like you? A potion taking away someone's consent and they are obsessed with you and only you against their will???? Horrifying! It's like a date rape drug!

Obliviation is another!! Someone just ups and removes memories from your head like nothing. And that's not even part of the unforgivable curses!!!!

Like I said as kids you don't see it, you don't get it, it's not a big deal, it's just a part of the story. But now as adults you're like huh? What? Does that actually make sense? Isn't that a tad bit on the illegal side??
