i’ve been skimming a study in scarlet for a project today, and i just came across this:

and i just realised......... watson.................... is such Trash when we first meet him....????????? everyone always paints holmes as the social-niceties-defying bohemian who stays up late and sleeps till noon while watson is the straight-laced good-habits man, but here he is, shocking everyone by being awake before holmes finishes his breakfast i’m fkin screaming, who will save my boy from the ravages with which time and easy storytelling have cursed him
