Solemn and monumental, the Canovian Temple is the great neoclassical church of Possagno. It was designed by Canova as a grandiose circular building, recalling the Pantheon in Rome, with a gigantic Doric pronaos, like the Parthenon in Athens. The uphill entrance and the geometric decorations make it even more majestic. Inside are preserved the remains of Canova, a native of Possagno.
