1. What is a guilty pleasure of yours?
That Amanda Bynes TV show What I Like About You. It’s hilarious and spastic and I watch when I’m sick on weekend mornings.
2. What’s a lesson you have learned when you were older that you wish you could’ve learned when you were younger?
Idk if this is a lesson, but the fact that it’s okay to try and fail. When I was little, I was so self-conscious of everything I did and I was afraid of what people thought of me. Now, I don’t give a fuck and life is so much more fun. I love it! I try so many new things and I swallow my fears and I conquer. I’m the motherfucking badass knight my younger self wished to be.
3. What’s one song you wish never existed and why?
Call Me Maybe. It is absolute shit and makes me angry because it’s not music at all. *blows dragon steam out of flared nostrils*
4. What is one place you’ve been to before and will never forget?
Santa Cruz Island off the coast of Southern California. I was there on a club camping trip, and I made so many memories with my friends that I’ll never forget. At night, while the hike leader told us the tale of Orion (which I can recite in my sleep by now because it’s my favorite constellation), I lied down in the grass and stared up at the clearest, most beautiful night sky I’d ever seen. It was brilliantly luminescent, like there were a million twinkling lanterns hung up in the black. The moon had this reddish-green halo, and it’s my most spectacular memory.
5. Which character (TV, book, movie, etc) do you relate to the most?
Igraine from Cornelia Funke’s Igraine the Brave or Alex from Matt Greene’s Ostrich. Or a mix of both.
6. What do you think happens to people when they die?
We vanish. Disappear. We cease to exist. It’s a terrifying thought—to be completely gone.
7. Would you ever want any tattoos or piercings? What and where?
Actually, I don’t have my ears pierced yet, so I guess that. I dunno; I don’t think I’d really wear earrings, unless it was near the top of my ear (not the lobe). I’d feel pretty badass with a nez perce, but with my fucked up nose it wouldn’t work. Eventually, I’d love a tattoo either on the sides of my stomach or back of a string instrument’s f-holes. Or tiny stars all across my shoulders or upper back, like stardust.
8. What is the nearest book to you?
War and Peace by Tolstoy. (Good book, by the by)
9. Who do you think about the most?
Myself. Like every other human.
10. If you could travel to any time period, what would it be?
I’d go to 1968 and watch Yes perform live.
11. What do you love doing, but are terrible at?
1. Would you prefer a single rose or a bouquet of roses?
2. If you were given a plane ticket to anywhere on Earth, where would you go?
3. What is your favorite smell?
4. What do you think about when you’re trying to fall asleep?
5. Name one thing you’ve always wanted to do but are too afraid to try.
6. What is one thing you wish you had never done?
7. If you had to teach your English class for a day, what would you make the students do?
8. What song gives you goosebumps?
9. Who do you hate talking to and why?
10. How many times do you let the phone ring before answering?
11. How much sugar do you take in your tea?
