4/5 Day five of our Great Ocean Road adventure (Late Post). The Blowholes of Cape Bridgewater. Located only a few hundred metres away from the petrified forest. There were only a few times we were actually able to see the water spray up high. 3/5 Day five of our Great Ocean Road adventure (Late Post). The Petrified Forest in Cape Bridgewater. Originally thought to be ancient coastal trees that were petrified over time. These are actually hollow limestone tubes called solution pipes. The wind farms in the Western District are one of its glories, and it was fun and exiting to drive across #CapeBridgewater right into the middle of the 29-windmill 2008 farm. The blade diameter is 82m and the sound can’t be heard unless all the cars in the carpark have turned their engines off!
