For its rough and gruelling tracks, for its hot and dusty singletracks, @capeepic is considered by many the most difficult mountain bike race in the world. This year Cape Epic tested teams, and equipment, in a 8-days-race over 600km and 17000m of elevation gain on the most treacherous paths: some might say that getting to the end of the week it’s an epic challenge. Over those dirt roads the teams and URTA SLR had their best, bringing home successful results. @wilierpirelli team won the sixth stage with Fabian Rabensteiner and Wout Alleman, and just behind them Daniel Geismayr and Cameron Orr on the third spot of the podium. For them Cape Epic ended with a solid 7th and 6th place in the GC: a strong team that never ceases to amaze us. A week of ups and downs for @squadrawilier that paid the price for some health issues, making the team losing some ground during the days. But some top-10-stage-placements bode well for the rest of the season. That being said, URTA SLR has been put to test on the harshest South African terrain, proving to be a reliable bike in any condition. What we call a winning combination. #wilierusa #cyclonebicycle #lovemywilier #CapeEpic #Untamed #URTASLR #breakupmonotony #mtb #offroad Photo @capeepic (at Cyclone Bicycle) https://www.instagram.com/p/CbvPkktL-S-/?utm_medium=tumblr
