examples of patriarchy:

objectification of women in advertisements 

the workplace hierarchical system

entertainment industry 

government

capitalism 

-when the founding fathers create the country, essentially, they only allowed white land-owning men to vote which started the gov. off to a patriarchal beginning

(sometimes you have to play along with the system in order to get inside and break it from the inside-out)

-education was stressed in the minds of Toshiko + Capetillo b/c w/o it, theres no chance of being able to change the system, challenge the authority or communicate a plan of revolution 

-educating kids is so important b/c they are easily moldable when they’re young  + more compassionate
