Inktober - Day 8 Prompt: crooked Character: Easton Lynch and Ezra Kelly from shaderunners @shaderunnerscomic
This prompt screams Easton, and Day 8 was 8th October which is @capitalette birthday (Shaderunners artist) so it basically wrote itself.
You really should do yourselves all a favour and read Shaderunners because it’s a fantastic webcomic that gets better and better.
Everything about Easton Lynch screamed crooked - from his lopsided smile to the lock of hair he tugged rakishly over his eyebrows. The cigarette he held between his finger and thumb, eking out the ‘baccy for as long as possible. The uneven patched trousers and shirt he never quite tucked in, on anyone else would tell of poverty or someone too busy to take care of the niceties. On Easton, his clothes spoke a different tale, someone who was always on the move (on the run) hustling his way through life.
And again that smile, and when he laughed he exposed a slightly crooked tooth, adding to this aura he had of not quite being on the side of the angels.
Ezra Kelly knew all of this as soon as he met him.
He should have closed himself off, kept his clean angles and ‘high falutin’ ethics far away from Lynch’s brand, but Easton smiled and Ezra fell.
