This was the contents of two small homes on one property. The elderly couple who lost everything were in a mix of shock and good spirits (under the circumstances). 99.99% loss because they had no help to get their stuff out of the house so it sat and molded over two very wet weeks. #capitalismproblems I wish I could afford to get out there to #volunteer for a month to assist the #tangiparish area. We at least helped get it to a point where #FEMA would inspect, they won't inspect if a home is filled with debris, which prevents the couple from moving forward after losing everything they've known for 58 years of marriage. #laflood2016 #floodrelief #unitedway #handsonnola #volunteersneeded (at Hammond, Louisiana)
