so ive been completely independent and working at mcdonalds for the past 2 yrs and its been absolute hell but ive done my best and worked thru it even though it spurred on my depression and gave little back. 

now ive saved around $7k, + an extra $3k of scholarship money i never spent. and im looking to quit mcdonalds in 2 weeks because im just so damn miserable. 

&i was hoping to go on a working holiday overseas in the uk for a couple months just to treat myself ive been so miserable for so long and i think this will rlly help me 

but im so scared of losing all my money. 10k doesnt feel like a lot of money especially when its $300 for passport $1200+ for flights $600+ for the setup program around $500 for extra travel gear i need to buy before i leave.... and then its so easy to spend money in general. i hate it i live in fear of spending my own money. everyone keeps telling me ‘u worked hard for it treat urself!’ but i dont feel like spending money i saved for so long is treating myself i really dont

& im scared of coming back home broke. what if i need to start all over again i dont want to feel what broke feels like again. i dont want to have to come back to mcdonalds. 

& on top of everything i hate how im controlled by money, that my happiness depends on it but truly thats life and thats how i was raised so...

Reminder that Labor let all of these Liberal "anti-terror" laws, welfare attacks, education selloffs and budget cuts through Senate, where they have enough sway to block it all and prevent this mess. Reminder that both major parties support the grotesque and illegal pacific solution and represent only big business interests. Labor does not represent the people. Liberal does not represent the people.
