Yeah the books go into a lot of that stuff later in the series.
Yes, I made the mistake of assuming it would only spoil the first few books the series spans!

If it makes you feel better they didn't actually /explain/ anything, so it's still a mystery.
It kind of does? Haha, I would have preferred to stay spoiler free for what I haven’t read yet, but it did make me pick up my tablet and start reading them!

Nah, it only spoils you up to around book 5, I think, which is exactly where the series leaves off anyway. Assuming you're talking about the very end of the first episode? The whole series will kind of spoiler the whole first 4 books, AFAIK.
Spoilers through book 5 are still spoilers, and I wasn’t expecting any spoilers beyond the first book from the very first episode. So, I’d still consider it quite spoilery. I looked it up and I’ve actually read through number 7, I think. It has been a while since I’ve read them, however I don’t remember anything about what happened at the very end of the first episode being in any of the first seven books. I would still caution anyone who wants to remain surprised to refrain from watching any of the series at all until they’ve read the whole series.
