😶 For how I think our muses would get along if they haven’t interacted yet
Mmmmmm, it’s tricky. For the most part I imagine Raven wanting to keep a respectable distance between herself and Jean, for power reasons. Raven really isn’t fond of people in her head, in part for basic privacy and in part because over the last twenty-thirty years, she’s seen a lot of things she’s both unwilling to share and unwilling to make someone else deal with. She’s presumably seen a lot of violent and unsavory things she wouldn’t want Jean seeing, accidentally or not.
But (and it might be me being a little self indulgent?) I think of the entire new X-gang, it’s Jean and Ororo that feel like they’d be the most eager.receptive to having Raven around as a teacher? Ororo obviously, with the poster of her, but Jean was pretty quick to drop the ‘what you did meant something to me/us’ both times it came up, and with power as immense as hers I think she’d benefit a lot from Charles and Raven both as mentors. Charles helps with the mental stuff and Raven helps concentrate and focus things, impress a little discipline.
I don’t think they’d be particularly close on a friendly level -- they’d get along fine, but not be too buddy-buddy. Raven would see her in a very firm ‘student’ (or maybe ‘niece’-ish, since Charles is 100% Dad) role, and for the most part it would stay that way. A lot of one-on-one training with her telekinesis, a lot of talk about breathing and things that can help her calm down on a physical level after any kind of telepathic episode.
(Jean’s also one of the ones Raven would want to, whether she ever admits it externally or not, be a better influence for. Go Jean.)
