Marian leaned up against the heavy wooden door again, letting her wet hair fall down her shoulders and back. It was freezing in that room, even with her only blanket wrapped around her. The warmest part was near the door, and even then it wasn't good enough. What was even worse was that it had started snowing, and now it was coming in through the opening in her wall. It had gotten on the bottom of her letter to Little John, so now the ink was smudged and unreadable.
She sighed and closed her eyes, letting her head tip back onto the door. If she would have been able to sleep that would have been great, but she couldn't. It was impossible for her to tell how long she had been in there for, and John was constantly by the door, yelling something to make her feel even more helpless.
It was too much, Marian could take it anymore. She stood up and looked around the room. He blanket feel to the floor and she ran her hands through her damp hair, almost like she was panicking, which she was. She couldn't handle being confined on the small space she was in, she needed air, she needed space. Marian began pacing as whatever was happening started to escalate.
Stopping for a second, Marian looked over at the pile of silver trays sitting on her desk. It was what her food was delivered on. She took three steps toward it and shoved all of the platters off of the desk, throwing them across the room and towards the door. The platters made a terrible noise as they hit the door and floor, and Marian covered her ears, hoping to block the sound out. She quickly retreated to a corner and back up against the wall. Marian stood there for a second before sliding down the wall and curling into a ball. Her blanket was on the other side of the room, but she didn't want to go get it. She was content in her little ball in the corner.
