The knead to rest
Cracker hadn’t seen you in days. Which was surprising since you lived together. You had both been so busy and just kept missing each other. One day Cracker had had enough. He missed you too much. He tracked you down. You were still going about your business. Cracker marched up to you quickly and scooped you up effortlessly.
“Cracker-“
“You’re coming with me” he said flatly and walked off with you safely nestled against his chest. Once home he set you down on the sofa and kissed you deeply “stay right there” he ordered and disappeared again. He returned a little while later armed with a huge tray of food. Setting it down on the big coffee table, he sat next to you, as close as he could get without straight out sitting on you. “Eat. You haven’t been eating right...and neither have I.” He added quietly.
“You cooked all this for me?” You asked with a smile “my sweet crumb. You are as sweet as chocolate” you chuckled leaning to kiss his cheek “I can’t eat all this so...eat up too” you two ate in silence content to simply be beside one another. “I missed you” you said once you had finished the meal.
“So have I.” Cracker replied lifting you onto his lap wrapping his huge arms around you, flopping down on the sofa with you against him “how can I live without my small cookie” he grinned at you “you make my day sweeter.”
“Aw. You’re getting all soft captain cookie” you teased burying your face into his neck “but you make my day sweeter too. I suppose we both knead a little rest.” You chuckled at your joke.
Cracker sighed happily running his fingers through your hair “I’m stealing you for the rest of the day.” He added “I’m tired and I can’t sleep without you.”

Melbourne pt. 1
(18th Jan 2026)
My overnight journey from Sydney went surprisingly smoothly, even with a derailment along the line meaning a transfer to a replacement coach service midway through. There was markedly more legroom than I’d have been afforded on a standard economy flight, so even though I was ‘trapped’ in the window seat, I was comfortable. After a spot of reading, I slept most of the way to Albury, where I sleepily stumbled onto the coach and resume heavy napping.
I arrived at Southern Cross Station at 8am and after dropping my luggage somewhere safe, went on a mahoosive walkabout. Melbourne is the only stop on my hols where I don’t have a relative to supply me with free bed & board, so I had a whole morning/afternoon to fill before I could check into to my accommodation. I headed for Alexandra Park, a huge, sprawling space full of greenery and scenery. I walked in a leisurely, semi-aimless manner around the park, passing through the Royal Botanic Gardens and stopping off at Cook’s Cottage; it’s the old family home of Captain James Cook – no relation (that I know of) – but for blog purposes, it was cool to see my ancestral home was being so well looked after!
2 hours and 10km later, I decided I’d done enough walking in the baking sun and took a train to my motel lodgings out from the centre of Melbourne. I made one last effort to cross the freeway and get a few supplies, then for the rest of the day refused to lift a finger for anything more physical than writing a blog entry.

Personality: Zander loves his kids and his wife, but he rarely gets to see them because he is a busy man. In a formal setting, he prefers to be called “Captain Cookie” because he is a captain. For a sailor, he is not very profane. This is so the story would not be rated Teen or even Adult/Mature online.
Abilities: Zander is great at being a captain of a cruise ship. That said, he has no superpowers.
Family: Unnamed father, unnamed mother, Martha Cookie (wife), Kit Cookie (daughter), Kalybrari “Kaly” Cookie (adoptive daughter), Magnus Cookie (son), Martha’s mother (mother-in-law), Martha’s father (father-in-law)
Out of universe, I chose him to be a captain as a reference to PopularMMOs and his Minecraft modded survival Epic Proportions Season 8: Custom Mod Challenge. There is a Custom NPC that debuted there named Captain Cookie, so that is why Kaly’s family has that name and why her father is a captain.
