so my beautiful friend @captain-liddy tagged me in a “Best Line of Fic” meme and i was like ‘bold of you to assume i remember any lines from my own fic after i give birth to them and abandon them on ao3’ but i did my homework and i found my favorite favorite bit of my favorite favorite fic i ever wrote.

it’s a little longer than “a line” but these two paragraphs i wrote three years ago and spent the following two years building an entire fic around it so i feel like that qualifies:

I was trying on glasses and contemplating my new vision benefit. Now I am reluctantly formatting a fic and procrastinating going downstairs to restart the router.

i'd procrastinate about going downstairs too. maybe wait a bit, they usually reboot themselves. mine takes a while to do so, like 5 minutes (which isnt a lot but in internet time is a lot). i like those round glasses you tried, they are very cute ♥

i mean like to be clear i am thirty four years and eight months of age and i’ve Never felt or seen myself reflected back at me from a television character (and i have watched a fuckload of tv) until just now, and just these two characters, and both times lid just fucking KNEW
