"If everyone did an Iron Lung x ISWM crossover, would you?" Yes.
OG under the cut. I have no clue where it's from, I just saw it floating around.
There's too many motherfucking Liska's in this motherfucking multiverse! (From left to right: Liska'De- ESO; Commander Liska Shepard- Mass Effect; Lil' Liska- Internetsona; Captain Liska- ISWM; Vixen 'V'- Cyberpunk 2077; De- Warped/WKM)
I'm slowly coming out of hibernation. We had a really unusually grey winter, so my seasonal depression took a nose dive. While I shake off these weather blues, please enjoy these refs I made for the Captain lol
God I missed drawing her
I don't even know where the original came from, and I made this sometime in February and it's just been sitting in my "To-post" folder lol
"What's it like being Captain in your au? I'm curious about how different your au is from mine."
Ooo... That's kinda a tough question to answer without going into, well, everything lol Which makes me realize it might be time for a Master Post! (or several considering how wordy I get) But I'll try!
Captain Liska's experiences and feelings about being a Captain are complex. She's grappling with grief, survivors guilt, imposter syndrome, and is now stuck with a ton of strange and broken memories and she isn't sure what is hers or "not hers". So we'll just add a nice dollop of existential crisis on top, as a treat. In those regards they aren't too dissimilar to other Captains in the greater ISWM multiverse.
Like most Captains, she went to an academy to be trained as a colony ship Captain. They were a test pilot before that. Her father was the first Captain of the first colony ship, known simply as Prototype I, which blew up before it could even leave high orbit. And her hair and eye color, and missing limb are mutations developed in the womb due to testing Warp Drives (Not to be confused with the Warp Core). She had a fiancé; she's trying not to fall in love with Engie; she's impulsive, cocky, might be an alcoholic, duty bound, but caring, fun loving, and a himbo.
What sets her apart most is the story around her and how she affects the multiverse of Warped. Because she eventually, very literally, shapes the multiverse. As far as the AU goes... it is quite literally an Alternate Universe in the multiverse of ISWM.
Everyone in Warped has different backstories, histories, relationships, and motives than in the OG. Some are, of course, inspired by head canons, but for all intents and purposes these characters are just another version of themselves from the show (movie? Movie.) in a different multiverse. Which I suppose is, like, exactly what AU's are, but I make a point of it because it is a central theme of this AU. It's an AU that's aware that it's an AU.
Warped takes place in what I call The Multiverse(tm), which is a pocket of multiverses within a multiverse known as the Liskaverse...
Hold on! I have a cosmology map!
(It needs to be updated and tweaked but this is the general picture) Each vertical axis is a genre, with the multiverses closer to the core being the most "Original" and spanning out to "Least Original" (taking place in other IPs) with Lahwran being the central multiverse and my first ever 'world' that I began worldbuilding from scratch.
Each circle is a pocket of multiverses, which some may or may not contain their own multiverses within themselves. Warped takes place at an intersection of ISWM/MCU and my own collection of multiverses, known as the Liskaverse, and follows the story of Captain trying to save it from being completely deleted and rewritten by... well... we'll just say someone whose tired of being an antagonist.
The story is essentially "Unwilling Hero vs. Jaded Villain".
It's a story and universe that doesn't take itself seriously so much so it circles back to taking itself seriously, only to came back around and become a parody.
I hope that answers your question? And I apologize for the novel lol Thank you for the ask!!
So I did that Princess Mononoke 'meme'.
Good way to start the new year~
