Would bring the whole squad with him as he would just be bored out of his mind. That would include making sure luck doesn't go in the water with his magic... and to make sure he doesn’t get eaten by a shark.
He would sit by the sand with you just dissing about the squad or the other captains and how annoying they might be. And he loves it when you start doing it to. A thing in common with your s/o where it’s just talking shit about people? Fuck yeah.
He also enjoys going in the water with you just to have a splash war. He always wins somehow. He is just a master at it.
He may seem like he hates it but he has a soft spot for the ocean. It's mostly because of his home country and how he was washed up on the shore and was thankful that he did so that he could meet you.
Surprisely he doesn't smoke on the beach. He just doesn't. Mostly because he cares of the tiny crabs and genuinely cares for sea animals

He may not seem like it but he enjoys it very much. In a way the water reminds him of you so when ever you guys do go to the beach it's sweet bliss to him.
He is very much a sunny day kind of person so when it's a sunny day on the beach and he is with you he appreciates the time you guys have while you two are there.
He loves to go in the water with you as well. Your the first one to start a splash war usually and he goes easy and doesn't win. But that's just because he loves the smile and grin you get when you grin in victory.
He loves it when you guys are wrapped in towels afterwards from getting out and how cold it is afterwards and sitting by a nearby beach fire.
Also loves to have cool drinks to cool down. He is the one to make it as he doesn't trust you with making good drinks. Very straightforward..

He is more of a beach kind of guy. He just finds the water too cold for him. Most likely due to his magic.
On the beach he definitely holds you close as you guys gaze at the waves of the sea going bath and forth. "You know.. The Waves remind me of you." His a common thing he says while he is with you on the beach. And he means it.
If your a water kind of person he would go with you in the water for your happiness. Sure he doesn't like it but he doesn't hate it.
After going in the water he would wrap you in a towel and use his magic for you to warm up. He loves the small smile when you start to warm up from Shivering from the water.
