Through the woods and off the beaten path, June Palmer takes a wrong turn and checks into a curious, little hotel called Elm Manor You won't find it on a map, but a handful of weary travelers might tell you it's between two twisted elm trees, and the dark backward of 𝔗𝖍𝔢 𝔳𝖎𝔫𝖙𝔞𝖌𝔢 𝔘𝖓𝔨𝖓𝔬𝖜𝔫.
Submitted for your consideration, a triptych of pics featuring model Dondi "Freckles" Penn and the often present chimp. Call it primal curiosity, but I've always wondered about the chimp's backstory. Our furry friend is seen in many of Bunny Yeager's photos, and initially I thought it was Dondi's own pet. But I read somewhere that it was on loan to Bunny courtesy of Africatown USA in Boca Raton. Perhaps more than one chimp is indicated. Whatever the story, it's certainly not as intriguing as Dondi's own background.
