You know how lots of fandoms have the official cookbook? The Little Women cookbook, the Little House on the Prairie cookbook, the It’s a Wonderful Life cookbook, that sort of thing? I think they should make a Star Trek: Strange New Worlds cookbook with all of Captain Pike’s recipes. They could call it The Captain’s Table. What do you think?
Make It So Friday
I think it’s always a fun read when Diane Carey writes Kathryn Janeway. And this book was no different. It’s a part of the Captain’s Table series. The Captain’s Table is a bar that only Captain’s of ships (of all sorts, sailing, space, etc.) can enter. And, when they enter, they usually find themselves telling a story about a big Captaining that they did. In Janeway’s case, it’s not a story of her being in command of the USS Voyager, but getting picked up by another bunch of people and finding her way on their ship.
The whole series is great, seeing different parts of the Captains that we think we know from the TV series. But, I liked this one just a teeny bit more because there were fewer (actually, none) interruptions of the narrative while Janeway was telling her story. Such a fun read, and definitely my favorite of the Captain’s Table series.

Made my way to the Captain's Table...
Ok so my sister told me after the fact how to record a video on my switch but I already have this so - does anyone know what the story is behind the weird pokemon noise im hearing here? It didn't start until after my meeting with Chairman Rose and as far as I can tell it's not the Indeedees making the noise. It's louder by the wall but nothing is moving. The game guide of course doesn't mention anything about this. So I'd like to hear if anyone knows what this is supposed to be.
This is a very nice silver plated brass Mutton Bone Holder, used to secure the joint when being carved, perhaps by the Ship's Captain at an Officer's dinner. It is marked on the side with a naval “Fouled Anchor” under “Acheron”. Date before 1805
HMS Acheron was purchased by the Admiralty in 1803 and fitted as a bomb vessel to serve in the Mediterranean Sea off the French coast. On 4th of Feb 1805 she was leading a convoy from Malta to England with the sloop H.M.S Arrow. Acheron had an armament of eight 24 pdr. guns, and engaged the French frigate Hortense, which with 40 guns was more than a match for the smaller ship. After a battle the Acheron's Captain struck his colors, and the French took the British crew as prisoners and removed the weapons. The Acheron was so badly damaged that the French burnt her, instead of pressing her into service.
Beautiful friendship.
