Hi just thought I'd make comment about Fennekin's final evo. There was this theory that Braixen needed the stick to help learn and use psychic powers, but once becoming fully evolved and a master at it not needing the stick for it anymore. It probably doesn't really help, but it helped me get over it anyway. I also never saw it as a broom though, just a wand. So ehh, little easier for me to be okay with it.

That still makes absolutely no sense, though. Theoretically, that might seem acceptable, but here the visual element is extremely important.

If you’re going to include something odd in a design, suddenly getting rid of it in the next stage is really, really dumb. The stick is odd enough as is for Braixen, but once you actually look at it you can readily assume what it will be and it catches your interest. It becomes acceptable because it honestly works and has potential.

With the presented “final form”, the stick is gone. They showed us a stick in the Braixen design, and it suddenly disappeared and this is a severe break in continuity.  

To make an example, let’s say this—

What if a Serperior evolved backwards to its second stage and regained its arms. Now, what if it then evolved backwards once more into Snivy— only it lost its arms, reverting its amount of arms to its original state, zero. This becomes a flawed design because something that started to appear and had potential to become something, suddenly disappears without any use at all. It’s like starting to grow a sapling, only the sapling never turns into a tree and instead disappears completely. You’re left wondering why it was even there in the first place

Not to say your idea isn’t a really cool concept, but that it just doesn’t work very well in the visual sense. If there were more backstory to each Pokemon then that might work out very well, but since most of what we have to go on is, again, the visual element— and a very brief Pokedex description— what we can assume is usually only that, assumed, never concrete

huh. That pen from the official Huion sie is different than the replacement one they have on their Amazon.

Any chance you’d know if they changed the design recently and what the difference would be? I know you’re more Monoprice but I thought I’d ask since I was thinking I’d get a 12x9 and a Huion pen, and if the pens are different that’d be cool to know.

Huion seems to offer a few different pens on Amazon, but they all look pretty similar to me - all designs "inspired" by the newest Wacom Intuos pens. The Yiynova one I linked to also appears to be based off an older Wacom pen design.

The pen on Huion's site appears to be closer to the slight angle-y-ness (haha, technical words!) of Wacom grips, while the Amazon offerings are rounder, closer to the Yiynova pen.

I'm not sure, really! Which pen in particular on Amazon do you mean? Monoprice's replacement pen also seems to be on Amazon, and that one's radically different from the others as well.
