A point of difference @captainharvtastic
Here we go again. Another party. Standing next to Harvey at the front door, the young blonde shifted anxiously as they waited for it to open. Sabrina hated coming to these kinds of things, but somehow Harvey always found a way to convince her. No matter how many excuses she threw his way- ‘Sorry Harvey, I’ve got a big test to study for’ or ‘My mom grounded me last week, you know that’, somehow he ALWAYS managed to see through her lies- even when no one else could. A few pouts later, a few ‘please Sab’, ‘it’ll be great’, ‘you’ll love the guys if you get to know them’, lines later, and she always caved. As endearing and as genuine as her best friend always was, it never equated to having the good time he wanted her to. Every car ride home was the same, Harvey babbling about the stories of the night while Sabrina sat in silence, obligatory laughs the only thing passing between her lips.
Pushing her way through shouting jocks, Bri headed straight for the bathroom. The only place she felt safe in house parties unless it was by Harvey’s side. Sabrina was too proud to follow him around like a lost puppy dog, even if she knew Harvey wouldn’t mind. Just because everyone here hated her, doesn’t mean she could hold him back into her social pariahdom. Looking at herself in the mirror with slight disdain, she pulled at the tight, white dress she had put on, suddenly regretting how much skin it was showing. Why did I even bother, who am I trying to impress?
After a brief check over herself, she pulled away from the mirror in a huff, opening the door to battle through crowds. Sabrina couldn’t even get 3 feet down the hallway when she heard the familiar duet of bitchy girls, her name being repeated over and over “why is Sabrina here?”. Then, she felt it. Ice cold, thick brown alcohol down the entire front of her dress, followed by a echo of laughter. Her entire dress was now see through, and she was surrounded by every single person who hated her from high school.
With more force than her small frame seemed to have, Sabrina pushed furiously past people without another thought, ready to scream or to cry. Pushing towards Harvey, the shivering, soaked blonde stopped when she saw him talking to some cheerleader. Sabrina rolled her eyes, trying to push down the jealousy that was bubbling that threatened her tears even more as she tore to the front door, planting herself on the front step. Harvey didn’t know how easy he had it.
