How Can I Contribute?

There’s lots of spots open in the zine, so please consider looking at all of them to choose what you think would be best for you!

For Creatives:

Artists:

Concept art: artworks of Leandro and Akira-- in action shots, in a casual setting, riding a bike, whatever you want!

Landscape art: artworks of the setting: a cyberpunk universe. These will mostly be background shots, although you can include Leandro and Akira in them.

Comics: mini-comics are the accepted form. Although there is no limit on the number of panels, try to make it a short one. Humor and romance are the major themes, although you can delve slightly into other genres.

Playlist cover artists: you will be paired up with a playlist creators for this, so you will have to work with them to figure out moods and settings.

Graphic designers: you will be needed to format and organize the zine! If you are interested, you will have access to other creative content that is submitted to us, and you will have to work with the admins. If you know any other graphic designers who can help you on this task, they are welcome to join! Please message me in order to do this.

No blood, gore, or extremely triggering content. I know it is a battle-themed story, but this is mainly a positive zine, so we would appreciate some caution.

Playlist creators:

Playlists: in Spotify, please! At least 20 songs of quality. These are intended to depict the environment of Leandro and Akira, as well as their relationship. You may do any genre. You must work with a playlist cover artist to pitch to them a mood, setting, and theme in order for them to create a cover for your playlist.

Fanfiction Writers:

Oneshots: In AO3 or on tumblr. Please make sure to deliver the final piece to an admin (more information about that later) in the form of a link! (Test the link, too!!)

Add warnings for graphic depictions of violence. No smut, please. Mature content is fine as long as it is not too graphic.

Anything else you have in mind?

If you have any other mediums of art you are willing to pitch, go ahead! We accept all media of art, but it has to be digital; we cannot accept traditional media, such as a picture of an artwork. Cosplays are an example of an art form we can accept.

For Admins:

We are in a dire need of Admins! Here are the spots we need filled:

Social Media Admin:

Someone to help manage the Twitter and Tumblr (and potentially an Instagram) of this zine. You will need to answer messages (I will create a guide containing information, and you can contact me with questions) and try your best to spread the word by reblogging, commenting, sending messages to potential creatives, and requesting popular fan accounts to spread information about the zine.

Creative Judge:

You will need to help me judge the various artworks that will be sent to us by assessing the skill level of the artwork, along with its creativity and originality. This includes going through all the artworks, but you will need to be relatively loose about the artworks; it is a fan-made project, after all, and we do not want too many restrictions. I will need someone unbiased and logical. You will not be needed until all the creatives submit their works, and the deadline is closed.

Graphic Designer:

(Please see the graphic designer explanation in the Creatives section.)

Overall Admin:

Oversee the work of everyone. You will have access to everything that I do, but you will need to accept the responsibilities that come with this task. Please have notifications on such that you can be contacted at most times (not all the time if you are busy at certain dates or times, but mostly.) You will need to plan the price of the zines, including free PDF versions, etc, and plan deadlines (when the submissions will be closed.)
