Madge looked around the benefit once more and nodded lightly to what the man had said. Her friends hadn’t dragged her- her parents had and in some ways she felt that was worse.

“Not much of a partier?” she asked trying to make light conversation as she smiled lightly and tucked a lose curl behind her ear. Her hair was down but pinned back in an old fashioned style that gave her timeless look with the red lips and those big blue eyes but she didn’t seem to be aware of any effect it may or may not have had on anyone. She shook her head at the offer of a drink. “I’ve had two flutes of champagne anymore and I will fall asleep on the sofa,” she teased with a light breathy laugh.

Moments later the lights flashed indicating someone had rang the doorbell. Autumn got up and opened the door and smiled when she saw it was Miles.”Pat said he had to run an errand really quick, so you’re stuck with me until he gets here.” This time she spoke and signed. She usually did for those who weren’t fluent in sign language. Autumn moved so he could come in and shut the door behind him.”Can I get you anything?” she asked being polite.

Hmmm...the pettiest thing is probably lying about being sick to get out of going to work xD stuff like that. She doesn’t really do that much now, Olivia tries to be good with that kind of thing lol, and when she was younger the things she did weren’t really petty, but simply downright stupid, careless and insensitive...She doesn’t really do things in halves.
