CONSIDER: steve noticing and knitting him the knottiest kinkiest scarf ever but it’s warm and long and he always wraps bucky up in it before he leaves the house (whether bucky braves the embarrassment and leaves it on is another issue haha)

Do it before so that you have a fresh haircut, they often times boost confidence and looking extra nice never hurts

after, probably! for me at least, it takes a while to settle into a new haircut and you wanna be as stress-free as you possibly can for your defense right?

after because there's always a chance it isn't 100% what you want and you wanna feel comfortable as possible in your own skin for your defense. unless you literally have a mop on your head right now.

oooooOOOOOO these are all very good points!! i’m tending toward after as well b/c i often get haircut hangovers and i Do Not Want That at my defense where i will already be like [screaming constantly]

What calms you down after negativity? 

Honestly a good long vent session really helps with this; I find that I can get a little bit in my own head about some stuff — particularly negativity, since others’ perception of me as a human being has proven to be a pretty persistent anxiety issue for me. (Perception based on my looks is w/e to me, FINALLY, but I’m still stuck on “WHAT IF THEY THINK I’M A DICK”) 

I also tend to feel better after I take a little break from the Internet; I’ll usually either go for a walk or make some coffee or what have you, maybe tidy up my apartment (an ongoing struggle), or watch a movie or tv. Stuff that doesn’t require a lot of Thought but does require enough concentration that I’m not overthinking the negativity!

omg all my rp pet peeves are normal pet peeves about fandom like infantilization of characters, making characters unreasonably powerful/incapable of being hurt or weakened (emotionally or physically or otherwise), etc.

uhhh i think what bothers me the most on an ooc level is when people try to just dive right into smut with me without discussing it beforehand. blessedly it hasn’t happened in the marvel fandom but boy howdy was the spn rp fandom ever notorious for it. starting a relationship with threads that are sexual in nature i don’t mind (esp if it’s about one-night stands or what have you) but i find it soooo presumptuous when it’s not discussed beforehand and they just start tryna jump my muse’s bones without any ic buildup or ooc discussion. also TRIVIALIZATION OF SERIOUS ISSUES OOC REALLY GETS MY GOAT

other than that like?????? idk mostly it’s self-righteousness and unwillingness to admit that characters have flaws (which, lmao, outside of RP i surely engage in but i like to think that when i’m WRITING bucky i’m aware that he isn’t a perfect angel cinnamon roll) and even that is just mostly because i find it really flattens the characters. 

i also think it’s weird that people with more #aesthetic get more rp attention but that’s because i’m a thousand years old and remember forum rping where you had to make your own headers and footers and shit and aintnobodygottimeforthat.gif
