I played a wizard recently and I NEVER had the right spells prepared. But the party never really did what I thought we’d do that day.
I’m going to be able to prepare more spells than most of the other classes even learn, so I’m not TOO worried on that front.
I’ve never played a prepared caster before though so we’ll see.

I started running it for some people at my school, though we no longer have time to keep playing. As the DM, I did read most of the adventure but I do think it's a pretty good module to use. There's a lot of advice online to get creative with certain parts to make it more memorable.
Well, I’m planning to at least tweak the setting / flavor a bit so that I can have it take place in Vicifey.
Do you think having already read the adventure would take away from your enjoyment of playing it?
captainwhosit replied to your post: Just paid off my loan with the highest interest....
You’re absolutely right that paying off your high-interest loans is a smarter move than saving or investing! And yeah, CDs and Savings Accounts suck now! I remember when I was a kid and opened my first savings account, it had an interest rate of like… 5%?? Maybe??? Now it’s 0.01% and a GOOD CD is maybe 1%. Anyway, I’m not expert, but if you want to invest I know enough to make some suggestions if you wanna talk about it some time.
Yeah, I am open for discussion, but I probably won’t make any true effort to learn about or get into it until after my student loans are gone. I was just hoping I could start saving for a house prior to paying off my loans as I don’t really want to wait until 2026.
captainwhosit replied to your post: these old(?) usb webcams keep getting thrown away...
You’re probably not allowed to take them or give them away without permission from your employer, but I’m sure there are people who’d want them?
I do have explicit permission to take them, it’s just the ‘and now what do I do with them?’ that’s fuzzy
and we’re allowed to salvage and give away roombas, so the same rules probably apply to other ewaste, but no one has actually said so
I think I’ll try to ask my supervisor on monday
That was a read. You're probably better off ignoring any future messages, as I don't think logic is working. Always fun to get dunked in random drama, huh?
tbh this is the most action my inbox has seen in like two years and I’m kind of getting a kick out of it
captainwhosit replied to your post: welp, looks like trying to play a Blade Pact...
There’s someone in my game who plays a bladelock to great effect, but I think it’s a pretty particular build and he still has eldritch blast. I like tomelocks for the utility of rituals, but yeah, it’s really hard to get away from eldritch blast spamming. :(
I mean sure, you can make a decent bladelock, but it’s going to spend all it’s feats and invocations catching up to where the blastlock starts.
The issue basically boils down to Eldritch Blast scaling up to four attacks, but you can only get two with your pact blade. And also not being able to use Charisma as your only stat unless you multiclass for heavy armor and take the Hexblade patron.
What the bladelock seems to want is to exchange the extra attacks on Eldritch Blast for extra attacks with a pact weapon.
captainwhosit answered your question:Is there anyone cisgender or transgender able to...
It was something I never really thought about. And when I do think about it now, there’s nothing consciously there? I know I want to be seen as masculine, even if I reject a lot of what’s stereotypically male. I’m sure that’s not terribly helpful.
What does wanting to be seen as masculine involve?
