Okay so I agree Mako's didn't own Korra/Asami and they're not "his" but you did take his parents and did her even get revenge and Mako looks just like his mom no wonder he's so damn pretty I want to cry.
Even if Mako met the person who killed his parents he wouldn’t try to get revenge, he would feel only pity. And Mako is grateful for how he looks; it’s all he has left of his mother.

What are your opinions on the original Mahsami? I know Mahsami 2.0 had several reasons, mainly the emotional pain Mako was in. But the first Mahsami was just two attractive fire nation teens dating, and a way to bring Asami into the Krew. I just didn't see anything in it.
I mean if we pull back the curtain we know that it was Bryke’s way to get Mako and Korra together.
But looking at characters, I wrote about it awhile back here (Masami Analysis from Asami’s POV). I could analyze it more from Mako’s head space I guess, but IMO 1x09 made it clear what was going on with him.
But yeah, I wrote that before the weird hipster Masami-shipping-within-the-Korrasami-fandom trend started, so I probably could revisit it too in light of other analyses. Not that I really land anywhere different tbh. They were two hot people with no compelling reason not to date, but it’s clear that they were never exactly in love. They were fine.
It’s a solid B for a first relationship. Then 2.0 was both of them hiding from their respective pain and needing a distraction (I’ve talked about it’s narrative impact here), but it never had a future.
Did you notice how Kuvira's army's outfits are *perfect* and super flattering for *her* body type? They are tight on the legs (she has slim legs) and looser on the top and she's top heavy with broad shoulders, and shoulder pieces and belt really bring out her upper body form. The tights really bring out her legs. She designed the suits to flatter her body type I'm WHEEZE.

Would you agree that Mako deserves a bit more sympathy? Sure his season one behavior was wrong,but Bryke themselves say how him losing both his parents and growing up on the streets with his little brother may be part of the reason he's a bit of an ass.
Who doesn’t have sympathy for him? We all love Mako. Yeah he didn’t handle his first relationships with maturity, but who does?
