How did he keep getting put in charge of children? Who thought this was a good plan? There was something in this universe that hated him. He hadn’t really known what the kid had wanted or how long he had been looking that wasn’t the point. The main point was that John had better things to do than play tour guide through the worlds of magic with some kid. He made himself difficult to find for a reason. When he thought about it. He didn’t need people finding him. He certainly didn’t want some kid who didn’t have a clue what he was doing getting involved with him. That never ended well for anyone did it?
So when the kid started talking John gave him a quick dismissal and tried to keep going. Apparently it wasn’t going to be that easy. As he moved he could hear the kid behind him still talking. Slow down? The point was to get away from him.
“Stop followin me.” He said without looking back. He didn’t think that line would work but it was still worth a shot.
