In his eyes nothing seemed to be enough. At last, he thought, he has found a nearly perfect gift for his wife. One that would put at least a smile on her face. As he walks into the bedroom, she stands in front of the mirror, combing her silky smooth hair, which he even adores from afar. She doesn’t notice him, but soon she would as he walks up behind her. One of his hands, rough at touch, brushes along her shoulder to move her hair aside before he then carefully puts the necklace around her neck where he also places a gentle kiss, whispering. ’ Merry Christmas, Gracie. ‘
She loves Christmas - the feeling in the air, the joy all around, the children at play and the kindness that people pass along to one another. It’s a time where in her eyes the world just seems perfect despite it’s chaos. For a little while things slow down and there is peace. That was a feeling she was getting now more than ever as she was spending Christmas with her husband. The very thought continued to make her smile each time. When she felt Lewis come up next to her she was pulled from her thoughts - he always had a way of surprising her and today was no different. Feeling the cool from the necklace she took a glance to the mirror to see what he was placing around her neck. “ Lewis! “ Her voice surprised and in awe. “ It’s beautiful...” Fingers brushed along the flowers as she let herself admire it for a moment longer but in quick transition Grace was turned with her arms around her husband giving him a gentle but loving and certainly passionate kiss. “ Thank you. “ And with a nuzzle of her nose to his she smiled. “ Merry Christmas. “
