College au
Kurt looked about the campus tail swishing happily behind him excited. He was in the states for college and was excited by the idea. Now he could get the education he wanted. Sure there was the prejudice of being a mutant in a mostly human school but he could ignore the teasing and tormenting for the most part. Not like he just got his gifts when he hit puberty he had looked like a demon his whole life.
So when he heard the slurs, the racial insults and the others about his looks he just ignored them, adjusting his back pack as he padded along trying to find his class.

Headcanon~
Raven learned the basis of many of her languages from lessons Erik used to give her. He taught her French, Spanish, German, and Italian. Later on however, they would use one of those languages to speak in secret, sometimes to even flirt or just have a casual conversation, messing with the others.
