I've decided to open additional checking and savings accounts for specific financial goals. I did some research on other banks in my area (pictured above).
Currently, I have a checking & savings account but I always end up pulling money out of my savings account (too easy when my accounts are linked together).
I also have a Capitol One secured credit card and multiple accounts through Fidelity (401K, Roth IRA & investment acct).
I also have a health savings account (HSA).
Additionally, I have a Netspend debit card which I highly reccommend for touring sex workers!
During tours, I'd go to any place that does Western Union (Rite Aid, grocery store, etc) and load some $$$$ onto my card to pay for flights etc and keep my cash amount under $10,000 when going through airport security. My bank often didn't have branches in the cities I toured in so Netspend is useful to have on hand!
I'll be using these additional bank accounts for:
Long term savings (Goal: $10,000,000+)
Short term savings ($150,000)
Debt fund (Goal: $90,000)
I'll be opening at least one or two business accounts this year as well.
Having money in multiple accounts and not as easily accessible will help me stick to my financial goals.
