#16: TRANSCENDENCE Sign: Gemini Gift: Fluidity Shadow: Indifference

Gift: Fluidity When you dive deeply into your talent, with enthusiasm and unbreakable passion, your gift has the ability to break you open in all the right ways. THE STORY: Interestingly, the motif of the man who sets out to have a reckoning with god is present both in fairy tales and mythology. A Romanian folk tale sees a peasant travelling to scold the Sun for a year of failed crops – and gathering quite a following of unhappy characters in the process. On a deeper level, it connects with Epicurus’ trilemma – a god who is either impotent (cannot stop evil from happening) or malevolent (permits evil) and whose whole reason for existing comes into question. It’s also a form of questioning the established order of things, be it autocracy, religion or patriarchy.
