"I regret nothing!" You laugh happily and bound out of the movie theater giddy, and your stomach alive with butterflies. You always loved the adrenaline rush scary movies gave you.
You turn around to grab your boyfriend's hand but he isn't as close to you as you thought he was.
"Cardlin? Babe are you okay?"
You ask giggling as you walk over to his spot where he's leaning against the building's wall his eyes and bit wider than usual behind his glasses.
"Uh..yeah I'm fine, just need to catch my breath."
You laughed again and take his hand.
"Aw, did Pennywise scare you that bad?"
You pout sympthetically and kiss his cheek leading him down the sidewalk. Your apartment is thankfully in walking distance.
"What? No! I'm totally fine. I can handle that..creepy-shape-shifting-spider-clown." He shuddered slightly and you grinned. He glanced at you and squeezed your hand,his features changing to show concern. "Are you okay?"
You smiled.
"Are you kidding me? I'm AWESOME. Gosh, I mean, that was almost as good as the original."
You continue to gushing about the badass special effects,and the little Easter eggs, and you're beginning to ask Cardlin if he wanted to watch the original when you get home, but then you see him shaking his head rapidly.
You give him a gentle smile,and will yourself to calm down.
"Aw, I'm sorry."
At this point you've arrived at your apartment. You open the door and Cardlin follows you in,looking a bit wired.
"I'm sorry Cardi." You step up to him and wrapped your arms around his waist and rest your chin on his chest, smiling up into his eyes. "I know you don't favor Scary movies..I shouldn't have dragged you along."
He smiled and kissed your forehead sighing. "No..no don't apologize. It's fine, I had fun, you know..when I wasn't looking away from the screen." You laughed at that and he pulls you over to the couch,sitting down next to you. You turn in your spot and lean against him,nuzzling into his neck. "Plus, what else was I going to do? Sit here bored out of my mind and missing my baby for 2 and a half hours?"
You laugh,and kiss his chin lightly.
"Yeah, that would have sucked. Thank you for being my brace Cardibear and joining me~ I'll have to pay you back sometime."
"Is that a promise?"
You nod. "Of course."
"I'm holding you to it then."
You grin and how up from your seat and crouch in front of the small bookcase holding all of your favorite movies. The majority of which are Disney.
"I know you will,but for now I need to continue to take care of my baby, and chase Pennywise out of his mind. "
You pick three movies and turn back to Cardlin,holding them up.
"So what first? Brave,Up, Or Tangled?"
