I don't want to upset you further but farming deer is really common? You even have it in places like Australia and New Zealand where deers aren't native. NZ is where it started. They had a lot of large animals brought in for sport that then either had to be killed off or converted into livestock for environmental reasons. I don't think they have a domesticated breed like cows, but they wouldn't be 100% wild animals + would have been domesticated a for few generations at least

 like legit one of my biggest pet peeves with...

I’ve never played but I’ve been reading up on the lore and it definitely presents the Dominion as being evil and the exiles as loveable rebels and it kind of rubbed me the wrong way? even the intro videos on the race page present them that way

god it bugs me so much how it’s presented as a typical ‘good vs evil’ generic conflict because it’s so much more than that?? the Exiles are far from what i would call good. like yeah the Dominion fucked with them a lot but the Exiles have done some shitty things. shitty things that i wouldn’t necessarily be associating with ‘good guys.’ i mean unless your definition of a good guy is someone that intentionally starts a plague then by all means use it!

and i hate it when people that only play exiles are so quick to shoot off ‘dominion are evil everyone go home.’ like no shush!!! you don’t know anything about the lore. honestly the only races on Exile side that’d i’d say are justified in their hatred of the Dominion are the Humans and Aurin. the other two? ehhhhhh kinda side eyeing them. Mordesh were more than happy to join sides with the Dominion before the Contagion happened, and the Granok pretty much got themselves into this mess. they didn’t HAVE to go and kill the Dominion ambassador immediately laskjdf

but i guess if you really wanted to point the finger at someone, just point it at the Eldan. they fucked up EVERYTHING from the sounds of it

Favorite pokemon convo continued

Yeah I would say that its gotten a lot easier to make a viable absol in your party with the inclusion of the Mega and in Omega Ruby where you can get it early enough to help build it up in your party. That being said though I can still see it being a hard edition to some teams.

That being said though I can feel that pain. One of my favorite new pokemon is Deino and his evolution chain both because it is a metal as fuck edition to the dragonite style dragon line (those late game dragons that have a LONG wait between 1st and 2nd evolutions) and has a really cool narrative as this small, blind dragon that rams into everything and has to bite everything in order to determine what it is (similar to a shark) and is covered in wounds. Then over the next few evo's it grows another head, and eventually eyes, wings, and a terrifying dominating disposition. It's fucking cool but it's type combo makes it really weak to some commong pokemon (looking at you fighting).

Yeah my girlfriend has read it and said the book ending is much better but from what she said I'm not sure. I think after all the shit it put me through I wanted something... slower for our antagonist and more punishing for the people in town who all just suddenly turned on him.
