CAREIN: careful in nature, an in nature for terms that have the shared characteristic of being careful in nature [original coining post] (link)
Just sorta picturing a weird psuedo-No. 6 au with Carein and Heylel??? It doesn't follow the plot exactly, but the background info's the same
I hope you enjoy, pikachu-slut! (Also hope class isn't too boring)
There he was. He was taller than Carein by atleast a foot and his demeanor may have been one of the most threatening presences he'd encountered so far in his life, but that was him; the boy he had helped when he was younger and subsequently got Carein kicked out from his idyllic home.
"He-... Heylel?"
He looked over at Carein with a blank face, only that intense stare to guide him, and then suddenly thrust a bowl out at him. It was steaming and had what looked like stew in it.
"Eat it. You need the strength."
His words sounded harsher than they were, but Carein obliged either way. The food itself was better than he had thought but it all stopped when a sudden jolt of pain brought him to recollect something horrific. That... bug that had stung him. It had put the egg of another inside his neck.
"Hey.. Heylel!"
He screamed out as the bee began its process, paralyzing him with pain.
"Help! One of those things got in me! Please... do whatever you have to!"
Heylel scrambled, throwing books across the room in search of something. Finally he found it and ran over. opening it up. It was a first aid kit and as he pulled out the scalpel, his eyes met Carein's.
"We can cut it out, but..."
Carein's mouth froze with pain so a soft nod was all he could manage. Thankfully, Heylel got the message. He started by taking off his shirt, much to Carein's surprise.
"... Don't want blood on it."
Oh. Carein was going to respond, but another movement by the bug brought another surge of pain. A cry of pain exited his mouth.
"Do it!"
"I don't have any anesthesia! You'll feel the whole process!"
"I don't care! Don't let me die, please..."
The next moment brought with it a sharp hiss and black filling his view as he faded from consciousness.
