The Caress of Progress
How have we progressed? Where are we going?
Disney's Carousel of Progress has brought audiences on a moving tour through human Progress since the 1964-65 New York World Expo. Originally sponsored by General Electric, the Carousel showed audiences how drastically modern household appliances have improved the lives of American Families. How lucky we are to be able to buy these devices to make everything better!
The Caress of Progress seeks to bring audiences on another journey. In this guided walking tour from the future, attendees will be led through The Space to see four Orlando musicians performing pieces they have written about Progress. The attendees will travel as one group, exploring differing aspects and views of progress together. An eccentric host will act as tour guide through this attraction.
