Cargo I love you don’t go
I wanted to find the Tokyo palette and right now you can’t find Cargo in store. The Kohl’s by me clearance it out and the website did too. I went by chance and at least I got 2 bronzers and blush on an insane deal. I got the standard swimable bronzer, a matte one and a blush in Tonga.
I’m grateful to get a deal but also bitter that there was a finger print in the pan on one. I am also bitter…

Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog! As you can tell from the title, today I will be talking about some of my favorite eyeshadow palettes! Now I know it says “Top 10” but there are a few honorable mentions that I also have to add to this list for one reason or another such as nostalgia or I do love the product(s), but I do not use them as much as some of these other palettes. Welcome to part 2, like I said in Part 1, I needed to split this list into a 2-part list, that way I don’t bore you guys with the very long-winded explanations as to why each and every palette is my favorite. Just like before, there is a slide show of all of the palettes mentioned at the bottom.
6. Morphe – 24G Grand Glam
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
The Morphe 24G Grand Glam palette is truly a wonderful addition to any collection simply due to the versatility of the palette. With the 84g pan size, each large enough for a large face brush, allowing you to highlight, contour, and a blush. There is even a light matte shade close to my skin tone, so a light – medium skin tone can use it as a setting powder, again increasing the versatility of the palette. When I first saw the palette, I wasn’t truly impressed, I still bought it, but I was very cautious about how I would like it. It arrived, and I used it and was blown away. The formula is very different form the other morphe palettes I owned at the time (35O & Morphe X Kathleen Lights), the pigments are far richer and more intense, and the shimmers just blend so effortlessly whether it they are used as an eyeshadow or a highlighter. Aside from the versatility, the palette is just something that I feel is useable all the time in a lot of makeup kits because they color story is just so flattering for any eye color and skin tone.
7. Cargo – Emerald City (Collab with Neon Hitch)
This palette was purchased for two MASSIVE reasons. One being I was highly attracted to the colors, for they are very simple and romantic, but instead of blush tones, gold and green tones are used and that is very different. The second reason, the reason that was the huge reason I bought it, was because itit was made in collaboration with one of my absolute favorite musicians, Neon Hitch. I have been following her since 2011 when she released single ‘Get Over U’ and still love everything she does because she always has a huge aura of freedom and empowerment. That being said, when I found out she collaborated to make this palette, I had to go and buy it right away.
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
Yes, I spent $34 on a limited-edition palette because of who helped create it. Neon Hitch is such a huge part of my life for she is so empowering and helps you own your sexuality and embrace the idea of freedom. I feel the palette is just the perfect idea of who she is. FREE! The light and airy colors with only one deep, rich, coffee brown to help ground the look and take everything back from the clouds into life. Even though I cannot say a ton of great and amazing things about the palette, I have to say this was worth the investment to me for just pure sentimental reasons.
8. Anastasia Beverly Hills – Modern Renaissance
This palette is another palette I love for a lot of sentimental value. Back when the palette came out in 2016, I was still learning how to do makeup, and when I first saw this palette, I knew I had to have it. It was a warn neutral eyeshadow palette, something I never owed before. Also, the price point was far higher than I was used too. Putting all of this together I fell in love with a palette right away, for it was something I never tried and that was what gave me the push to buy it right away. The Modern Renaissance is a beautiful collection of red tones, rich champagne shimmers, and all of the colors were said to be inspired by Renaissance paintings.
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
The palette is still very much a favorite, not just for sentimentality, the formula is so smooth and grand, full of pigment and blending effortlessly. My absolute favorite shades are Boun Fresco and Love Letter. At the time of purchase, these colors were 100% unique and different from anything in my collection. Even now, these colors are still very unique to me, though I have shades similar I don’t have exact dupes. With have them as my favorites, not is saying that the entire palette is not good, but these are shades I have purchased the single shadows of because I love them and use them in most warm eyeshadow looks, but this palette alone, with just 14 shades, there is an limitless about of looks you can create, almost making the look very simple and natural or taking it to a glam/high fashion look with minimal effort.
9. Tarte Cosmetics – Grav3yardgirl Swamp Queen
This palette is the third palette I love for a lot of reasons, a lot of them are driven from a pure sentimental place. This palette is obviously a collaboration between Tarte and Grav3yardgirl a.k.a. Rachel “Bunny” Meyer, a youtuber who I have been following since roughly 2012 and I have always loved her for her honesty when it comes to life, a product review, or even her mental health. She was just a beacon of light to me in a world I never fully understood because I didn’t understand my own issues (mental health primarily). Bunny changed a lot of things in my mind about mental health and made me learn it is normal for everyone to struggle at times, and its okay for people to have up and down moments. When I learned this palette was being released, again I had to buy it. I did not care what it looked like, what shades were in it or anything. I was going to buy this palette simply because of Grav3yardgirl and what she means to me.

Now let’s dive into the palette itself. When you open the palette, you will be greeted to a large and beautiful quality mirror with an empowering messaged. “Believe In Yourself. Love Yourself. Embrace Your Individuality”. When you look down at the palette of product you will have three face powders, a Bronzer, Blush, and Highlight. If you have every followed Grav3yardgirl, the names of the shades would just hit a soft spot in your heart, for they all reference different aspects of her channel. Along side the face powders are nine eyeshadows. Three mattes, fours metallics, and two shimmer shades. This is a beautiful and versatile palette that will help you get your entire face ready to rule the world with such a positive outlook on the world. The formula is the same as all Tarte shadows, creamy, rich and blend able.
10. Colourpop – Dream St. Kathleen Lights X Colourpop

This is still a fairly new palette, but I love it so much. Now it is mainly a favorite, due to the color range. My absolute favorite colors are – Twinkle, Sweet Dreams, Water Bearer, Spark, Kaleidoscope, Moony, Mermaid Boy. Not all of these shades are crazy unique, but to me they are all amazing because even the blue colors of Water Bearer and Mermaid Boy can still be made very wearable in your day to day life, for they can deepen the look and mix it up, so you don’t have to always use a black or dark brown. Then the shade Moony is an iridescent, but not intense but it has a slight sheen so when the light catches it this shade, it becomes a nice and simple highlight shade for the brow bone.
Well that is the end of Top 10 Favorite Eyeshadow Palettes – Part 2! Thank you for joining me this week, and please leave a comment if you would like me to post some of my honorable mention eyeshadow palettes. That would be a post of palettes I love, but don’t use quite as often. Again, thank you, hit that follow button so you can stay up to date on when I post.
