Ok so I'm not sure if anyone answered your question about Hamilton yet, but from the research I've done about him(which I fully admit is limited so maybe get a second opinion.) all says that by the end of his life he was strongly in favor of capitalism (not overly surprising I'm sure) and "pulling oneself up by your bootstraps" so basically he would have hated the idea of common people getting help from the government.
This is upsetting. I suppose it’s logical tho. No person is perfect.

Are you talking about the party scene in Dear White People? Because if so then I interpreted it as Coco realizing that no one was every going to take her seriously and being horrific that these people were making her into a joke. I think she was also questioning how far she was willing to go to make a name for herself in that scene too. So basically: Horror, embarrassment, some shame, and a dash of anger.
