Carice van Houten was one of 1500 protestors to be arrested in the Netherlands yesterday, as part of a protest by environmental activists.
She and over 1000 protestors were attacked with a water cannon by police, and later arrested, as they protested against Dutch fossil fuel subsidies. More than 7,000 non-violent protestors gathered to join the demonstration, marking the seventh oganization by Extinction Rebellion, a group that aims to spread awareness of the current climate crisis and compel governments to change their environmental practices.
