“Have you been feeling any better? Sorry I had to leave for a couple of days, work has been demanding.” Night sighed aloud, sounding mildly exasperated. Actually, he wasn’t completely telling her the truth--that he’d purposefully dragged his feet during a mission and then taken forever to do the paperwork so he wouldn’t have to come home. Seeing her constantly, consistently miserable made him miserable. The guilt and self-loathing was enough without that piled on top.
@caring-florist continued from here
“Oh, I’m so sorry--I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings.” Lamashtu paused, seeming taken aback for a moment before a convincingly warm smile found its way onto her features. This was the girl that Pazuzu had been so obsessed with devouring, and now she could see why. The demon did not normally prey on women who weren’t pregnant, but this pure, sweet girl was undeniably appetizing.
“I merely wanted to offer my sympathies. I am a mother and I couldn’t imagine how I’d feel if I had lost any of my beautiful babies.”
@caring-florist liked for a starter
“I know it’s not Valentine’s Day yet, but I got you these anyway.” Night held out a box of chocolates and a potted plant--he thought she would appreciate that more than a bouquet of flowers, since she could plant it in the garden--with a proud smile. Maybe he would just bring her home a little something every day until Valentine’s Day. Would that make him a good boyfriend by human standards?
((see the funny thing about all this “oh my feelings are romantic I don’t NEED sex” is it’s only been a couple days. you just wait night. you will suffer soon enough))

Monaka was unsure of what to do. She wasn’t trained to deal with wounds but she couldn’t just ignore someone being injured. “Can… can I help you?” she asked sounding unsure and shy.
"It's o-okay--- I'll just go to the school nurse! So there's no need to worry, ok--- okay?" Rin reassured the other gently as he wiped the blood that was starting to dribble down his chin away, his face feeling warm and sticky from the fluid.
