And here goes juniors!
Basia Rhoden, Carl Becker and Olivia Daugherty in Becomings.
I have to say I much prefer Becomings in flat shoes (and probably danced by male dancer, but it may have something to do with this part being originally made on Calvin Richardson, who knows), senior cathegory girls are dancing on pointe and it kind of changes the thing and I don’t think I like it that way.
However - Basia was awesome. I’ve never seen this solo done with such unique delicacy, with such tenderness.
On the other hand Olivia brought very intense, raw energy into the same choreography.
And I just liked Carl. Again there was energy in his dance, intensity and simply him. No hyperextensions and crazy flexibility needed. At all.
