sophie’s lips curled into a smile, her hand hesitantly reaching out to his. carl had been a comforting presence these last few weeks, and it was im- -possible for her to deny that she was... beginning to feel something for him.
it didn’t catch her too off guard -- he’d been there for her. he seemed to understand what she had been through, & vice versa.
❝ thanks. ❞ she mumbled, entangling her fingers with his. ❝ i... didn’t want to be alone. it’s -- nothing, i just.. needed to be with someone. ❞ she sighed, leaning herself towards him ( but not touching. just hovering -- close by. )
