“Well hello,” his voice was rough and demanding attention from the people the stood before him. I stood in the shadows, waiting to be called to his side.
“And who are you?” The thick British accent filled my senses, making me feel as if I was truly breathing for just a second.
“Trever.” The voice brought me back into the shadows. He could feel that I was affected by his voice, but soon he demanded control once again and I gave it. “You probably don’t remember me, but I remember you, Klaus Michaelson.”
“You are right. I have no idea who you are.” He laughed. “Nor do I know your friend in the corner.” He said, talking about me.
“Oh, I think you do know her.” Trever laughed. “Though she has changed quite a bit. Haven’t you darling?” He said to me, pulling me to his side.
As the dim light hit my face I could hear Klaus’ heart speed up, but I couldn’t look at him. I was being compelled to Trever.
“Caroline,” Klaus said, barely above a whisper.
“Do you like her?” Trever wrapped his arm around my waist. “I think she is much improved now that she is a hybrid.”
“Your…” the man behind Klaus, his brother Elijah, I presumed, asked.
“Oh, yes. I wanted a half-werewolf to sire my children.” Trever placed his hand on my stomach. “And aren’t you happy?” He asked me.
“Oh yes,” I said and leaned into him, wanting to please him.
“Good girl.” He grinned at me.
“What have you done!” Klaus’ voice became angry and his eye glowed yellow.
“I saw the way you acted around her, so I took her for myself.” Trever laughed.
“Caroline, come here.” Klaus beckoned me, but I just looked to Trever for advice.
“That’s not going to work.” Trever laughed at the pathetic attempt. “She is sired to me, and you and I both know what that means.”
Klaus growled but knew better than to charge after Trever.
“What do you want?” He grunted.
“Oh, so you would bargain for her life?” Trever asked. “But when I begged for you to spare my older brother, you didn’t even blink.”
“Let her go and we can negotiate.” Klaus tried to bargain. “Caroline, I know you are in there. Fight it. Break the bond.”
I looked him dead in the eyes. His gaze was burning holes into me, but I felt nothing. Nothing.
“She can’t fight it. I made her a hybrid and without my constant blood to feed her, she will die.” Trever grinned. “Right, darling?”
“Yes,” I said and licked my lips when he put his bare arm out for me to feed on. I looked at him for approval and he nodded. I sunk my teeth into his skin and fed from him.
“Enough.” He said after a minute. I stopped and wiped the blood from my mouth.
“Why are you doing this.” Klaus restrained his voice.
“Because I want to see you suffer.” Trever smiled.
